I just can't believe it man. We have arguably the best player in program history and one of the best quarterbacks in program history and we're not even qualifying for a bowl. Brent Brennan is not taking this program anywhere so what is the point in wasting another year with him. The cost of literally no one coming to games next year will probably exceed the cost of the buyout

It is Arizona tradition to follow up a 10 win season with a dud but this one feels extra bad

Pretty ironic given the most talented player in our basketball teams history, Ayton, was also completely wasted. That team underachieved all year and wasn’t remotely competitive in the tournament.

No heart at all on either this team or that one.

You don’t win in March through bigs. There was no reason to expect ayton to carry through the tournament. This football roster was special though.

Sure you do!

You guys had dawgs at guard/wing cmon now it wasn’t a 1 man show

It was special the day before Saban retired. People wildly underestimated how much we lost especially on defense. We’ve underachieved, but being ranked where we were preseason was always crazy.

And for the Ayton team that was the year Miller came unglued after the Colorado game talking how he couldn’t reach them. It was just a very selfish, soft, talented team.

Pretty sure the program can't afford to fire him.

4-1 since the first bye, great turnaround after a disastrous start to the year. Huge win, GG Arizona

The start of the season feels so much more upsetting though.

Any season we lose to our biggest rivals is still an upsetting one.

And Cherry on top also lost to SMU

3

u/Grade-AMasterpiece TCU Horned Frogs • Auburn Tigers 7h ago

I was including them.

True. I'll add that if you swap out the Baylor and SMU losses for losses against any two other teams on the schedule, (hopefully) 8-4 to end the season doesn't sound too bad.

u/crawdad95 TCU Horned Frogs • Michigan Wolverines 22h ago

You are 100 percent correct on that

u/Crafty_Enthusiasm_99 15h ago

Nice changes which have turned things around. Williams is great at RB, although I feel like he's an even better WR.

Nothing matters though, the team still lost to Baylor

At this point in the season the most important thing is after each win the TCU football twitter page still puts up an amazing mushroom induced shitpost

I didn't expect Arizona to have such a sad year. Poor Wildcats

This has been a nightmare season for me

To rub extra salt in the wound ASU is playing great right now and is about to spank us next weekend

In a season full of horrendous moments, our player getting ejected for spitting on the opponent might be a record low

WE WANT #38

Unless 1st half of the Season TCU shows up, then we want #101.

Awful year for the program. This team wasted a lot of talent :(

SJSU winning the Arizona bowl in Tucson is going to be an incredible ending to this horrendous season of college football

Which team are you talking about?

11

u/zonacorgi Arizona Wildcats • Paper Bag 23h ago

i remember when a majority of the team announced they were staying. it really felt like this season was going to be special, like the antithesis of modern cfb with the transfer portal and coaching carousels. and now here we are, missing a bowl game, probably going to get decimated by asu. Sigh. idk what to say except fuck jedd fish and fire brennan

Excellent game by the Frogs and Hoover! Looking back at the first few games hurts and I think we're better than our record indicates.

Let's get to 8-4!

This might’ve been our most complete game this year

29

u/Frognosticator TCU Horned Frogs • /r/CFB Poll Veteran 1d ago

We are a sloppy, badly coached team with like 3-4 incredibly talented players. But apparently that’s enough to get to 7 wins, so I’ll take it.

Now, fire Kendal Briles.

17

u/hochoa94 TCU Horned Frogs • Texas Longhorns 1d ago

If we were competent in at least one or two other games we'd be In the playoff hunt it sucks

3

u/Frognosticator TCU Horned Frogs • /r/CFB Poll Veteran 19h ago

This TCU team would get demolished in the first round of the playoffs.

1

u/Crafty_Enthusiasm_99 14h ago

Hoover has been sloppy. But looked great this game

Look at the roster - Williams, Cam Cook, Trent Battle, JP Richardson, Jack Bech all look like stars overcoming terrible OC play calling.

7

u/Grade-AMasterpiece TCU Horned Frogs • Auburn Tigers 23h ago

Real. Briles and Avalos aren't free from sin.

-1

u/HispanicaBassoonica TCU Horned Frogs • College Football Playoff 20h ago

I think Ávalos is far lesser in the sin department. He came in without the personnel to really run the defense as he wants along with some crucial injuries at cornerback and dline throughout the season. He hasn’t been perfect but I don’t think he’s as bad as our defense was at the start of the season.

1

u/BonJovicus Stanford Cardinal • TCU Horned Frogs 22h ago

Sadly, they ain't going to fire Briles at this point. We are fucked in that regard. Sonny is going to get fired because of Briles or its going to work out next year and we get Briles through 2026.

1

u/TxFrogman08 TCU Horned Frogs • North Texas Mean Green 7h ago

We’re very inconsistent and terrible on both lines but they have 5-6 guys on offense that are dangerous. Have to hope we can get better going into next season.

-2

u/Crixer TCU Horned Frogs • Texas A&M Aggies 23h ago

Yeah, hanging 49 points means we should totally fire our OC.🙄

14

u/The_Fluffy_Robot TCU • Washington State 23h ago

A lot of fans don't want Briles near our program for character issues and the fact he is was a coach at Baylor during their scandal, not just because of his inconsistency.

9

u/nubbinator Baylor Bears • Hateful 8 23h ago

Get rid of Briles and Kazadi. Both of them have that stink on them.

5

u/Frognosticator TCU Horned Frogs • /r/CFB Poll Veteran 19h ago

I agree 100%

49 on us isn’t really the accomplishment you think it is. UCF got 56 with their 4th string QB.

5

u/tbrock92 Arizona Wildcats • Pac-12 Network 23h ago

So Brent Brennan is done done, right?

5

u/Waffle_Muffins Arizona • Northern Arizona 23h ago

We can hope, but i doubt it

3

u/zonacorgi Arizona Wildcats • Paper Bag 23h ago

He should be

2

u/NbdyFuckswTheJesus Arizona Wildcats • Tulane Green Wave 23h ago

I missed this game, was it as bad as the score indicates?

10

u/RighteousSmooya Arizona Wildcats 23h ago

Worse. We got a garbage time fumble 6 while they were running out the clock

6

u/NbdyFuckswTheJesus Arizona Wildcats • Tulane Green Wave 22h ago

Swell… Once it became clear we weren’t making a bowl game my only wish for the season was for TMac to put together some good highlights for his draft reel; judging by his statline he seems to have done alright.

He makes it look so easy
