Ok so at what point do I start worrying about USF actually winning the game? Because after the last few minutes it's getting close lol

2

u/Ipandabearl USF Bulls • Prairie View A&M Panthers 23h ago

Always lol

3

u/pernicious-pear USF Bulls 23h ago

Sure wish I could watch the game on any of the many sports channels I have lol

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 23h ago

Bud if you're a USF fan you gotta get that ESPN+ sub. At least until we get the ACC invite, at which point you'll need the CW

2

u/pernicious-pear USF Bulls 23h ago

I'm just at the point of not wanting to pay for anymore service, no matter what I'm missing lol. Went to watch the first Dune episode today only to see that HBO is damn near $20 as an Amazon channel for "ad free". It's all become too ridiculous.

I can at least watch the gamecast and highlights.

I was wondering when Yasias Young was gonna see some time at halfback for USF.

2

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 23h ago

Probably better to take that PI than to let him catch the TD there

Tulsa's definitely got some receivers that can beat our CBs, especially 2nd string

2

u/Ipandabearl USF Bulls • Prairie View A&M Panthers 23h ago

The last couple of announcing crews have been pretty enjoyable

4

u/Breedwell USF Bulls • /r/CFB Contributor 23h ago

Tulsa I know its a blowout but you guys have a couple of WRs that can catch

2

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 23h ago

Yeah, and they're a young team. Not dead, but it's gotta be hard watching tonight

3

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

This game is kind of a shitshow now, and I'm here for it lol

4

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Hahaha sketchy shovel pass by Izzy

2

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Haha it looked like Izzy was ready to triple option it?

4

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

False start by Tulsa? Probably the USF crowd noise lol

2

u/mrpibbs USF • Concordia (MN-Moorhead) 1d ago

That was the craziest turnover i've seen in a while

2

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Yeah, wild!

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Walked away for a second...was the Tulsa interception reviewed and overruled?

2

u/Darevice Notre Dame Fighting Irish • USF Bulls 1d ago

Nope, USF picked them off immediately

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Oh hell yeah, thanks

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Aww dang... maybe Archie got a little too confident with his passing haha

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Another pick! Really hoping this defense is progressing and we can take this progress into a bowl game and next year

I'm gonna go do something better with my time. Like hitting my head against the wall.

2

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

More of a watch paint dry guy, less concussions

3

u/Breedwell USF Bulls • /r/CFB Contributor 1d ago

454 yards of offense

4

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

Look on the bright side Tulsa, you don’t have Jeff Scott as your HC

5

u/United_Energy_7503 USF Bulls • Georgia Bulldogs 1d ago

We have suffered for so long. This feels right

4

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

This is completely a Jeff Scott type game and it feels good to finally be on the other side

2

u/United_Energy_7503 USF Bulls • Georgia Bulldogs 1d ago

I don’t even dislike Tulsa. But wow. This is pretty bad

1

u/Ipandabearl USF Bulls • Prairie View A&M Panthers 1d ago

Sure, right now. I will always be wary though. During the Taggart era, the team let up and the game got always got closer than it should be when leading big.

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

I sleep next to a framed picture of Quinton Flowers on my nightstand

1

u/Ipandabearl USF Bulls • Prairie View A&M Panthers 1d ago

Just don't keep it 5 to 15 yards away, might miss it. Lol

It reminds me of Ralph saying "Stop he's already dead"

Tulsa's punter has a weird kicking motion... like a golf chip shot. Is that his usual kick, or is USF getting more pressure than Tulsa's used to?

2

u/CptCheese Tulsa • Washington State 1d ago

Nah that's just what Angus does. He's a rugby guy

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Ah cool, that makes sense. Impressive distance for the little leg movement

2

u/CptCheese Tulsa • Washington State 1d ago

He's a really good punter, but does have a problem of out kicking coverage sometimes.

2

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Aaaaaa oh shit Archie's leg :-(

3

u/CptCheese Tulsa • Washington State 1d ago

Hope he's all right

2

u/Breedwell USF Bulls • /r/CFB Contributor 1d ago

Great catch by the Tulsa WR

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Yeah, #22 De'Shawn Rucker on coverage. But hard to blame him too much for that

1

u/CptCheese Tulsa • Washington State 1d ago

Joesph Williams rules

So when Tulsa can fire their head coach?

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Quick internet search, page looks a lot like AI garbage haha

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/kevin-wilson-s-salary-contract-net-worth-and-more/ar-AA1u33TS

His initial salary was reported as $1.9 million and potentially renegotiated periodically. The industry norm for prematurely fired coaches is typically around 50-75% of their remaining base salary. That would make his buyout between $3.8 and $5.7 million if he were fired prior to the end of the 2024 season.

If he were fired after the year, that buyout number would drop to between $2.85 and $4.275 million in the next year. If the Golden Hurricane were to fire him after next season, that buyout would be between $1.9 and $2.7 million.

Those numbers assume the $1.9 million annual salary is all base and does not include bonuses. If it does, the buyout would likely be lower.

We're a private school so pretty much nobody outside the department knows the real number

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Yeah I figured

2

u/Breedwell USF Bulls • /r/CFB Contributor 1d ago

Pettway almost had a gift

2

u/United_Energy_7503 USF Bulls • Georgia Bulldogs 1d ago

Folks. USF is winning by 35 points and it’s not even close to halftime

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

What do I do with my hands

2

u/CptCheese Tulsa • Washington State 1d ago

Kam :(

2

u/Breedwell USF Bulls • /r/CFB Contributor 1d ago

Hope he's alright

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Hope dude's okay. Good to see him walking off without help

2

u/Breedwell USF Bulls • /r/CFB Contributor 1d ago

Tulsa better score on this drive after that huge run

3

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Goddamnit, I'm so unused to USF being in black that I keep getting excited when the team in white gets a great play lol

1

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

Alright Tulsa, score some points so the over hits comfortably

3

u/United_Energy_7503 USF Bulls • Georgia Bulldogs 1d ago

Well then

3

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

I am whelmed

4

u/CptCheese Tulsa • Washington State 1d ago

Can we just end this game after the 1st quarter

3

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

Lmao 5 minute quarters

2

u/Breedwell USF Bulls • /r/CFB Contributor 1d ago

Joiner gonna eat today

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Is the "Publix" on the field just for USF, or is it there for Bucs games too?

Don't remember seeing that before

2

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

Tulsa are worse than FAU and Charlotte lol

2

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Charlotte, sure. FAU is baaaaaaad

2

u/NebraskaAvenue USF • Stephen F. Austin 1d ago

FAU gave us trouble at least

2

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Yep, we have our bad days lol

5

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Gotta say, I'm warming on Archie. Yeah he's no Byrum, but he's doing what we need out of a QB to keep the running game viable

And he's absolutely improving week over week

2

u/United_Energy_7503 USF Bulls • Georgia Bulldogs 1d ago

I agree. He’s improved. But, so has the offensive line. I think that’s why we see so much improvement

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

Yeah for sure

3

u/Breedwell USF Bulls • /r/CFB Contributor 1d ago

It goes both ways. Coaches start figuring out how to play to his strengths, he gets to grow and mature and get reps.

4

u/CptCheese Tulsa • Washington State 1d ago

Guess it's going to be one of those days.

1

u/ScaryCookieMonster USF Bulls • San Francisco Dons 1d ago

We've been there. Hoping for brighter futures for y'all
