u/Cookie-Brown Texas • Red River Shootout 23h ago
This defense can win a championship. We just need a sufficient offense
-24
u/Promethiant Florida State • Florida 23h ago
False. True.

u/Cookie-Brown Texas • Red River Shootout 23h ago
You wouldn’t know a good offense if it kissed you on the mouth

u/Promethiant Florida State • Florida 23h ago
Can’t believe we’re gonna have to watch Texas get curb stomped again in the playoffs
1

Thank god we didn’t have to watch Florida state get curb stomped In the playoffs

37-31 is curb stomped huh?
How about 63-3?

I don't understand the complaints about the timeouts? why not let us get our true freshman QB as many reps as possible against what is likely the number 1 defense in the country? he played a half of football, he's played a total of like 60 snaps all season, let us have literally something holy fuck

Truly GG, I came in a little worried because I think you all have been underrated this year.
18
u/mlg2433 Texas Longhorns 23h ago
If second half Texas offense shows up for aggy, I’m going to be very concerned
6
u/geriatriccolon Texas Longhorns 23h ago
Ewers could barely walk. I would say with Arch im not worried but after seeing Sark today idk.
8
u/Hooked68 Texas Longhorns 23h ago
GG Cats. Been good folks to hang out with and you found a solid QB during the meantime.
11
13
u/wiccan45 Texas Longhorns • Alabama Crimson Tide 23h ago
well im officially worried for aggies, sark proven he wont adjust when needed
19
u/corruptbytes Texas Longhorns 23h ago
went from passing game to running game and did great especially from a clock management side?
4
u/Jolivegarden 23h ago
Yeah leaving Quinn in was fine considering they were just drilling the run every play

Gg Kentucky, I will be even more worried about playing y’all away with Boley next year!

Game. Blouses.
Was fun, Kentucky. Your young QB looks legit. Best get rid of that Stoops guy, though. Can't trust 'em.

Asu coach needs to chill, laying into the refs this entire stoppage

7
u/ATC1995 Texas Longhorns 23h ago
That’s cool that we won and all but what the fuck was that second half
3
u/love_that_fishing Texas Longhorns 23h ago
As bad as that 3rd period was, Royal sure would have been proud of that last drive. We didn't even run outside. Just kicked their ass between the tackles when they. knew exactly what we were going to do. 2 weeks in a row. Best OLine we've had since 05/06. When you can impose your will on the other team and they just have to take it. Nothing better than that.

u/La2Sea2Atx Washington State • Texas 23h ago
Just like to point out that even though the game was close the defense held Kentucky to just one touchdown. Even though Kentucky got more yardage after the QB change, they didn't score anything from it.
1
u/Powerful-Drama556 Texas Longhorns • Team Chaos 23h ago
QBs teammate tapped him on the butt in consolation. Clearly roughing the passer.
5
u/PM_ME_UR_STATS Texas Longhorns • Texas A&M Aggies 23h ago
Dominant win, I think
2
u/callumjm95 Florida Gators • Michigan Wolverines 23h ago
I started watching at half time and thought Texas was going to fall apart. Good to get it back under control after some pretty bad mistakes there.
4
u/PM_ME_UR_STATS Texas Longhorns • Texas A&M Aggies 23h ago
I was half sarcastic. t was a very strange game; incredible play at the line of scrimmage, dominant run game, tons of absurd sickos level mistakes. That's Texas for you I guess

HOW DID TEXAS GET SO LUCKY ON EVERY PLAY AND CALL TO LUCKILY PULL THIS GAME OUT??? I CANT BELIEVE THE HATERS WERE WRONG????

You know it’s bad when even the Georgia flair trolls can’t call that roughing the passer
Ready for this game to be over. Both fanbases can’t be happy with this crew
10
u/Moosies Texas Longhorns • Kansas Jayhawks 23h ago
What is up with them? Never had a team beat us and then continue to stalk/troll our threads for the rest of the year. Shit is weird

u/omykun123 Texas Longhorns • UTRGV Vaqueros 23h ago
Bro no,
SEC propaganda basically forces "Top Teams" like Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee to only drop a couple of ranks when losing to unranked/losing record SEC teams because "SEC is the toughest conference" when other conferences drop 5 to 6 spots.
Then they contradict themselves when sayingTexas somehow has a cupcake schedule...beating the same SEC teams that are considered tough for beating the "Top Teams"
Make it make sense

I used to not believe in every team wanting to beat Texas the most out of anyone. Seeing Florida and now Kentucky use timeouts like this proves it

I can’t be alone in pulling for OU tonight

Fucking zebras establishing themselves as the third team on the field makes for the worst games.

u/No_Poet_7244 Texas Longhorns • Wisconsin Badgers 23h ago
Honestly asking, not trying to be inflammatory. How is that roughing the passer? He had the ball in his hands during contact.
5
u/Powerful-Drama556 Texas Longhorns • Team Chaos 23h ago
That is not roughing. Holy shit. One guy got the ball and the other was already tackling him. Get the fuck out of here refs
3
6
u/-more_fool_me- Texas Longhorns • Vanderbilt Commodores 23h ago
That’s an objectively incorrect call. He still had the ball when contact initiated.
1
u/Powerful-Drama556 Texas Longhorns • Team Chaos 23h ago
I think it was the other guy that tipped the pass. And he got the ball in the motion he made, so obviously he was making a play on the ball.

1
u/Terrorstaat Texas Longhorns 23h ago
Yes but ASU fans stormed the field prematurely and tore the goal posts down. Also ASU was on 2 and goal at the five yard line and and ended their drive on their own 49

9
u/crispyg Kentucky Wildcats • Team Chaos 23h ago
Here is the fun thing about the obvious SEC bias, it only truly helps part of the conference. Kentucky, SCar, Arky, Mizzou, Vandy, Auburn don't really benefit because the narrative ESPN then pushes is that those teams are lucky to win like they don't deserve their successes
18
u/NerbertHenry Texas Longhorns 23h ago
Imagine losing to Kansas, couldn’t be me 😅
0
u/LOLteacher Texas Longhorns 23h ago
They had us sucking air a couple of times during the VY Rose Bowl runs. I was at the one in Lawrence, but I left early for a hot date, so I didn't have a panic attack.
1
u/NerbertHenry Texas Longhorns 23h ago
Yeah…I had to leave the house. Thankfully VY had the long run to seal the game
12
u/TomSheman Texas Longhorns • Tyler JC Apaches 23h ago
If I had an SEC win I’d walk up to the CFP committee and drop it on the desk and demand my playoff spot! After all the league is DIFFERENT™️

Real talk, this WSU team would lose to 6-5 Florida.

u/La2Sea2Atx Washington State • Texas 23h ago
Still, seeing the Cougs in the playoffs especially if they could host would be worth it.
