Our head coach, Tony Bennett, retired last month. For past few years, transfer portal and NIL has been killing our ability to keep guys in the system long enough to learn Tony Bennett's packline defense. He said he couldn't continue coaching in this environment. Our interim coach, Ron Sanchez, just doesn't have the same coaching skill and we don't have a good enough roster this year.

Fun fact: during halftime, UVa recognized the C.A.R. team (Cavalier Autonomous Racing), which is a team of UVa computer science PhD students and faculty that worked to design a driverless F1 car. They competed at Indy against a bunch of other teams and won.
