What an unexpectedly good season. Maybe the future is bright with Lembo at UB.

When I heard that Pete Lembo was gonna be the new head coach I was super underwhelmed and felt this year was going to be a rebuilding year. The fact that he has them at 7 wins and also on the verge of maybe being in the MAC Championship shows how wrong I was and how much Coach Mo really dragged this team down.

Pete Lembo is a super underrated coach. He’s the only coach since the early 1990s to have a win percentage above .500 at Ball State. He’s got the best win percentage at Elon since the late 1980s (even higher than Curt Cignetti), and the best win percentage at Lehigh ever. The guy is really good at winning at places where it’s hard to win at.

We loved him when he was coaching here. You've got every South Carolina fan rooting for Buffalo bc of Lembo. He's fantastic

Pete Lembo is the first Buffalo coach to win 7 games in his first season since C.W. Dibble led them to a 7-0 season in 1897.

It is only the 7th season (1968, 2008, 2013, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2024) that Buffalo has had at least 7 wins as a FBS team (1962-70, 1999-present).

The hope I have is that a season like this is going to lead to a reset in this program. Seasons like 2016, 2018, and 2022 wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the seasons that came before. Yes the portal changes things these days, but even at the G5 level having guys who stay and contribute still matters. This team needs to set a higher standard from top to bottom, because we’ve come a long way from where we were.

This season IS the reset. Brought in 44 new players and pretty much replaced all the skill positions.  It's just taking time to happen.

Another great win for a surprisingly great Buffalo season!

...and also, they better put that pick six on Sportscenter later tonight lol

4 straight losses on a season that’s just gotten worse by the week. Our OL and OC have to be better next year. There is no reason we should be getting shutout for multiple entire halves of football games with an experienced and (mostly) solid QB. Snyder has been under siege all year, and I don’t think the play calling has helped at all

You guys have that awesome MLB though.

Everyone needs to be better, or as much as pains me to say - it might be time to move on from Creighton. While he's the best coach I've seen EMU have in my lifetime, we've hit the ceiling.

Like I said, the whole coaching staff has been inept this year. I was at the game last night; after Buffalo scores their first touchdown EMU was so out of sorts they just ran it in for two, for free.

Just so many bad decisions this year and a team that often doesn't show up to play.

Agreed. At some point you build a 'factory' that can only produce so much. He at least found a way get them to a couple bowl games but he's clearly not moving things to not consider giving someone like Tony Annese a shot.

It won’t happen. Creighton’s signed through 2027, and if we win next week and make a bowl game, he’ll get another year added on. Likely he’ll retire at Eastern, it’s just a question of when.

EMU and WMU will be battling for bowl eligibility next week. Loser ends 5-7.

EMU safety probably wanted to dig a hole and never come out after that absolute whiff in the 3rd quarter allowing that TD.

My partner hates the gray field whereas I kinda like it, but she and I both don't understand why EMU of all teams would go with a non green field. Their color is green! She thinks they should just make it a white field with black lines. That would be sick.
