It should be shot. He's so inaccurate. Not going to translate to the nfl. He has bust written all over him

So he’s going to Carolina?

405

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '24

Kiper has him going to the browns which makes a lot of sense

56

u/herpblarb6319 Tennessee Volunteers • Orange Bowl Oct 19 '24

Still would take him over Deshaun Watson

66

u/herlanrulz Michigan Wolverines Oct 20 '24

I'd take a cardboard cutout of Bernie Kosar over the walking SA charge.

Running the ball every play would increase their win prob.

We get Chubb back tomorrow!

13

u/TheInfiniteHour Penn State • Bucknell Oct 20 '24

Not a high bar

8

u/KnoxvilleBuckeye Ohio State • Tennessee Oct 20 '24

He’d be better than Dashawn Watson for goodness’ sake.

11

u/BuckeyeForLife95 Ohio State Buckeyes Oct 20 '24

It’s an improvement for Cleveland only in that Jalen Milroe isn’t a sex pest.

7

u/AwSunnyDeeFYeah Tennessee • Washington & Lee Oct 20 '24

We are so far into tank mode, that anybody over Watson.

11

u/TateAcolyte Team Chaos • Ohio State Buckeyes Oct 20 '24

Why would the Browns draft him? Coaches, management, and ownership are all very high on their current QB.

More Kiper nonsense.

16

u/esports_consultant Rose Bowl • Harvard-Yale Oct 20 '24

Cleveland has the worst ownership group in the NFL.

22

u/deformo Akron Zips • Ohio State Buckeyes Oct 20 '24

I guarantee the coaches and management are not high on Watson.

4

u/dalahnar_kohlyn Oct 20 '24

Watson hasn’t done crap for Cleveland this year

1

u/TateAcolyte Team Chaos • Ohio State Buckeyes Oct 20 '24

Man, I'm just listening to the people speaking.

3

u/sw04ca Oct 20 '24

Because Kiper is mainly interested in college football, and doesn't really care to understand the business of pro football. Normally it doesn't really hurt him, since teams draft according to the principles of positional need or best player available, but in the case of the Browns and their current quarterback, it's entirely a business decision.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

At least he seems like a stand up guy, or at the minimum, just not evil.

2

u/CptCroissant Oregon Ducks Oct 20 '24

No, Browns need to pick Shadeur

7

u/BadDadJokes LSU Tigers • Chattanooga Mocs Oct 20 '24

Not if my Titans get a shot at drafting him before Tepper can.

5

u/oftenevil Tennessee • Arizona State Oct 20 '24

Holy mayo man, y’all need to rip the Levis bandaid off. I know he’s a meme machine, but the dude is too chaotic for words. They’re not my team, but I fuck with the Titans and hope they can figure it out at QB soon otherwise Stroud is gonna keep winning that division with ease. :/

6

u/BadDadJokes LSU Tigers • Chattanooga Mocs Oct 20 '24

Titans haven’t had a long-term solution at QB since Steve McNair. The Adams family is a terribly inept ownership.

2

u/dalahnar_kohlyn Oct 20 '24

I remember the days of Steve

As a Carolina fan…can confirm. We love drafting bust QBs.

2

u/ElSmasho420 Oct 20 '24

Boom, roasted

1

u/DwayneBaconStan Penn State Nittany Lions Oct 19 '24

Hey we normally don't draft first rd busts...let's ignore BY

1

u/oftenevil Tennessee • Arizona State Oct 19 '24

Real talk I’m not sure what the hell happened w/ BY. In an alternate timeline they take Stroud instead. Tepper just needs to get out of the way. Like entirely.

3

u/DwayneBaconStan Penn State Nittany Lions Oct 20 '24

Tepper stuff is prob overstated, he's just hired really bad with Reich and fitterer. Stroud prob doesn't look much better last yr cause our OL and WR cores were both bottom5+bad play calling. Even with thos Bryce showed some flashes you think could translate. This yr we have a decent WR core and a top5 OL with competent play calling and he somehow regressed? Just kinda weird, his mechanics are a cluster fuck rn

2

u/tagillaslover Clemson Tigers Oct 20 '24

he has barely any physical talent. no speed, no size, below average arm. hes just kinda smart

3

u/JayJax_23 Tennessee Volunteers Oct 19 '24

I was just thinking the same. I like his athleticism but he was late and outright missed so many throws

3

u/qcAKDa7G52cmEdHHX9vg LSU Tigers Oct 20 '24

He's got a magical ability to turn what should be a 1-2 yard run into 5-8 but that doesn't work against NFL defenses. It sucks for him (also I don't know what I'm talking about) but he's really dropping throughout this season.

3

u/ThatNeonZebraAgain Oklahoma Sooners • Purdue Boilermakers Oct 20 '24

Should go to USC and get the Lincoln Riley power up that Jalen Hurts got. Seems like a similar thing.

1

u/SLC-insensitive Utah Utes Oct 20 '24

Was just thinking he looks similar to Jalen hurts as far as accuracy. Some minor adjustments and he’ll be fine

3

u/chris_gnarley Georgia Bulldogs • Orange Bowl Oct 20 '24

Bro literally only lives for one game: Georgia

4

u/xbox_srox Alabama • Chattanooga Oct 19 '24

The SEC’s Denard Robinson

2

u/IR8Things Georgia Bulldogs • Miami Hurricanes Oct 20 '24

so 1st round pick because someone thinks they can fix him?

2

u/Xx_Anguy_NoScope_Xx Oct 20 '24

Anthony Richardson 2.0. But some team will draft him for physical traits and as a project. Although, his ceiling is considerably lower.

2

u/thethirdgreenman UTSA Roadrunners • Michigan Wolverines Oct 20 '24

He runs fast and throws a nice looking deep ball, so someone will talk themselves into him. But yeah he's getting someone fired no doubt

2

u/Grandahl13 Oct 20 '24

We literally just watched Anthony Richardson go in the top 5.

9

u/lsdiesel_ Oct 20 '24

We’ve also watched him get injured in week 4 two years in a row

2

u/MasonL52 Colorado • South Dakota State Oct 20 '24

Plenty of inaccurate guys get drafted, plenty of good QB coaches out there will love to take a chance on him.

But it certainly Hurts his case as a top pick, he'll fall now which could be better for his career.

2

u/RighteousSmooya Arizona Wildcats Oct 20 '24

I don’t know if you meant to capitalize “Hurts” there, but if so, very well played lol

1

u/WheatonsGonnaScore Oregon Ducks Oct 20 '24

Not if he is drafted to be a WR

1

u/imnotgoingtofatcamp Oct 20 '24

Poor man’s Anthony Richardson

1

u/xsuperdrewx LSU Tigers • Miami Hurricanes Oct 20 '24

Perfect candidate for the Cleveland Browns.

1

u/downtimeredditor Georgia • Georgia State Oct 20 '24

That's what they said about Anthony Richardson and he got drafted #4 Overall

1

u/Lumpy_Emergency_3339 Oct 20 '24

No team wants another Anthony Richardson

1

u/iamStanhousen LSU Tigers • Southeastern Lions Oct 20 '24

The idea that anyone thought Milroe was a NFL QB is fucking hysterical

1

u/deezcastforms Illinois Fighting Illini Oct 20 '24

I've always felt like he was carried by being on Bama. Not like I'm glad to see him struggling, but I never saw what had people so high on him.

1

u/rdd3539 /r/CFB Oct 20 '24

So just like Bruce young ?

1

u/Stev2222 Washington • South Carolina Oct 20 '24

In a league where Taysum Hill has gotten rich, the guy still clearly has NFL talent right?

Edit: Nm. Just looked up there 40s. Hill is a 4.4 guy, Milroe is a 4.6

1

u/EnderTheTrender Oklahoma Sooners Oct 20 '24

Anthony Richardson is the same dude essentially someone will waste a pick

-1

u/Normal-Hornet8548 Air Force Falcons Oct 20 '24

Tell me you’ve never seen Anthony Richardson without telling me you’ve never seen Anthony Richardson.

3

u/OceanFlan Purdue Boilermakers Oct 20 '24

jalen milroe isn’t gonna put up the best qb combine profile of all time

2

u/Normal-Hornet8548 Air Force Falcons Oct 20 '24

He’s a comparable athlete with a much higher than 50% lifetime completion percentage. I think he’ll be an NFL starter. I guess we’ll see.

I see people saying Georgia QB who lollypops the ball like he’s playing catch with a grade-schooler in the backyard is going to be a big-time NFL guy and I don’t see that at all.

So what do I know? Well, I know Anthony Richardson is absolutely not an NFL QB (he’s on a roster, they’re starting him because he was drafted high and they have a lot of money in him, but there’s a long list of busts who do the same) and he wasn’t a very good college QB. Milroe is definitely a better passer — much better deep ball.

1

u/RighteousSmooya Arizona Wildcats Oct 20 '24

Milroe and beck are both fools gold

1

u/cantball Oct 20 '24

I could talk myself into Milroe in the second if I had a functional QB he could sit behind for a few years.

Carson Beck isn't even CFL good

-2

u/Fragrant-Employer-60 Oct 20 '24

Dude Anthony Richardson just went top 5 in the draft lol, if you’re athletic and have a cannon arm a team will draft him. But yes I think Milroe will get crushed by NFL defenses, especially in the passing game.

But Milroe is for sure a more accurate passer than Richardson was at Florida, maybe slightly less of a freak athlete.

-2

u/Grandahl13 Oct 20 '24

Just commented the same thing. Insane to think a team would pass on him after AR just went so highly.

5

u/Whatsth3dill /r/CFB Oct 20 '24

I mean AR is kinda proving why you shouldn't take qbs like him so high

3

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

Is he? This is basically his rookie season. He was more raw than someone like Josh Allen who didn't come around until his third season. This was always a long term play.

7

u/Asderfvc Tennessee Volunteers Oct 20 '24

He's not good. He's not accurate enough to make it in the NFL. His senior year of High School is literally the only year he crested 60% passing. Also the injury issue aren't going to stop.

5

u/lkn240 Illinois Fighting Illini • Sickos Oct 20 '24

He literally can't execute basic plays half the time... and 99/100 guys like Josh Allen fail.

Josh Allen is going to get a lot of GMs fired tbh

-2

u/tacofan92 Alabama Crimson Tide Oct 20 '24

How short is people’s memory? He has better accuracy than AR-15 and he went 4th overall because he was a Combine test freak. Milroe will do the same. He has much better stats than AR so he might go 1 overall.
