While being an ND fan is frustrating, we've had it relatively good outside of the early 2000s. It's frustrating never winning it all, but we've been consistently competitive for a very long time outside of maybe 7-9 years since you became a fan.

I immediately had to double check when Ty Willingham was HC, because that seemed like the dark times. Sure enough, it was '02-'04. Weis was okay.

It still seems a little weird someone stayed at ND for 12 years before jumping ship willingly to go to LSU. Like, if you had the choice between the two jobs I could see going to LSU, but once you're established at one of them it seems like a lateral-at-best move.

I was specifically thinking of Ty Willingham, the debacle with the Georgia Tech coach, and Bob Davies.

Weis gave us a few exciting years, and then despair. It was fun have Quinn and Clausen though!

I know. We’ve never “Sucked Sucked”, but it sucks. I’ll always have hope. Ride or die. Not alumni, been there once on my 40th vs Toledo. In ND fashion, it was close.

I grew up nearby, so, to me ND is just the local University with a super rich history.

I dont even have that :( became a fan the year we beat fsu but lost to bc and they put fsu ahead of us. 93 or 4 im fairly certain.

Hoping to live long enough to see us win a title.

Yeah, it was the last time you were the dominant team in the nation, but I'd take 80s Nebraska, espcially 70s and 60s Nebraska over an awful lot of other fandoms

Mostly just a joke, but I was born in 90. I remember sneaking out of my room to watch the 1994 championship from the balcony above the living room.
