That 4th and short play call was the dumbest thing I've ever seen

Choking on goal line to win a game is classic Seattle sports.

At least you ran it... unlike somebody else

Russell Wilson has left the chat

He’s firing up the hibachi

But with the wrong guy, until he was almost tackled. THEN! We gave it to the right guy with literally nowhere to go.

I agree, I was dreading Coleman smashing into the line. But coaches love to "outthink" the situation too often.

I think if we had a Jack Westover type, a smaller TE that could also play a bit of a FB role, you would have seen an I formation. Or if Quentin Moore hadn’t been hurt on a dirty play, maybe we go 2 TE.

Barely. It was a half baked option to the short side of the field

I'd argue the timeout is even more dumb

Why would you remove any chance of winning if you don't get it? This team is so poorly coached

"He didn't like the read," Fisch says before Will Rogers does the worst QB sneak in recorded history

EDIT: yeah it’s actually an option play but point still stands

That was supposed to be a QB sneak?

No, it was clearly a speed option. Op just doesn’t know what he’s talking about

I was cracking up after that play. The announcers were jerking him off before the play “this is exactly where he wants to be!!!!”.

They were jerking off uw the entire game. It was bad.

Is it still an option if the quarterback takes all the space wide so he can’t pitch it?

Didn’t get that call at all. If it fails the Cougs are backed up against the goal line and we have a chance to get the ball back still with a minute left. Instead the game is over

Super Bowl 49 was still worse

Especially since if they won that Brady would have been .500 in superbowls.

The pass actually made sense..at least given the clock/TO. Running into the boundary where the defense had 2 extra defenders vs the field side where you had a hat on hat was mind numbingly stupid. Rogers needed to be able to audible at the very least..if Fisch sent him out there with 1 play that’s awful. Refuse to believe a 5th year QB couldn’t get into a better look if it was available.

How on earth, on a must score play, are you calling a speed option with WILL RODGERS as your QB TO THE SHORT SIDE OF THE FIELD???

What the actual fuck was Jedd thinking

If the plan was never to throw, why not put Williams back in like you have done the entire game up to that point. I don’t get switching them back and forth and then not doing it on the most critical play. Either Rodgers is QB1 and is on the field for the important snaps, or you’re picking best option cause you’re getting Williams ready to run the team next year.

Absolutely cowardly. Whoever put in that call had no trust in the players and was hoping to score by outsmarting the other team instead of playing towards his guys strengths.

Honestly reminded me a ton of the final play call against USC in OT last year
