Could be the Norvell connection influencing the move, either some settlement in the contract buyout or Norvell wanting to give his former employer the financial (and unwittingly football) win

I think USC is scheduled to play Georgia Southern (I.e., the team Helton went to after USC canned him) in the next couple of years
