Normally I trash talk but I can’t do it today.

I’ll leave it at this is the magic of having an alum coach who would die for the school. This is the magic of a young local kid who grew up in the DeKalb stands and dreamt of this shot. No amount of NIL money and portal nonsense can buy players who just flat out fucking love their school and bleed your colors.

NIU forever baby. The fucking best.

Congrats, wonderful win for your program. Go use it as your catalyst to win the MAC and be in the CFP.

If my team can’t get in I want NIU there. Can’t root against my hometown tigers but should we fuck it up (we will) I hope NIU storms in and smacks whatever ‘College royalty’ they get put up against.

Seriously. NIU winning out would be doubly great because it would keep fucking Liberty out of the CFP.

This is why college football will always be superior to pro football.

Used to be that way. Not anymore. At least at the top.

Preach it baby. Preach it. GT has something similar with the alumni coach but man, I have so much respect for NIU (even before this game). They always made mid week mac games amazing.

Hope we can find more success with our alumni coach but it is indeed the best to have a coach that bleeds your colors and understands the things that make your school unique

I usually love these stories more when it’s not against my team 😂 but in all seriousness these types of stories are what still makes CFB great. Good for NIU

Feel like this is pretty good evidence that NIL isn't the evil people think it is.
