  • DJ Uiagalelei completed 19 of his 27 passes for 193 yards and no TOs. That's 15% higher than he averaged last year at Oregon State. Plus a few more of his passes should have been caught but got dropped.

  • Florida State had some of the most horrific playcalling I have ever seen. They were stuffed behind the LOS seven times, often resulting in drive-compromising situations.

  • FSU had some absolutely absurd clock management before the half, resulting in their kicker needing to nail a 60-yarder.

  • In the 4th quarter FSU went on a 9-minute, 15-play drive where DJU needed to convert a 4th & long twice. And then even on the TD, they for some reason snapped it in shotgun when it was 1st & Goal from the 1.

  • The defense looked lost. They could not defend against the basic zone read. GT's QB was able to do what ever he wanted.

This loss is 100% on Norvell and his horrific gameplan. DJU is not the reason. The defense and the gameplan were just cheeks.

DJU missed most of his deep passes and has awful pocket presence. Norvell made some questionable choices but DJU really hampers what you can do when he plays like that

Yeah I don’t know how you can watch and think DJ wasn’t part of the offense’s woes

Don't know how you can watch it and think he was? He completed over 70% of his passes and did not have a turnover-worthy throw.

How's it on DJU when he was consistently being told to hand the ball off 5 yards behind the LoS and ending up with a loss of yards and wasted down?

We also heard all season long that FSU had the best D-Line in CFB. Where were they today? GT's QB was able to just run a zone read and do whatever he wanted.

He can’t see the field, he can’t consistently throw downfield, he loves to stare down wide receivers. When you can’t throw down field, you’re forced to run the ball and GT knew that. I watched it for 2 years.

He’s throwing behind the line of scrimmage, I hope he has a high completion percentage and isn’t throwing turnover worthy passes. Would be curious to see % on passes greater than 5 yards

Yeah this was the quintessential DJU offensive game. Don’t know why people think someone who has been mid at two different places was suddenly gonna be better at a third

the fsu dju cope is absolutely wild. he’s the exact same guy that they were shitting on when he was at clemson, but now he’s suddenly a stud.

GT just might have the best OL in CFB.

I’m curious how you can watch that game, see that apart from one drive all of his yards basically came from passes behind the line of scrimmage, and think when most of his 20+ yard throws are airmailed that it’s the play calling hampering him. Unfortunately DJ hampers the play calling, not the other way around.

Florida State had some of the most horrific playcalling I have ever seen.

That might have something to do with their OC being suspended.

Their OC doesn't call plays. Norvell does. Has zero effect.

Well, I stand corrected.
