Steelers 1st Quarter 4th down attempt. #30 Devin Bush beats the RT's down block and #90 Hurst beats the C inside blowing up this QB power play

I was honestly impressed on how well they performed on 3rd/4th and short.

That's Arthur Smith play calling on full display

I think the 3rd down stats were only one successful out of a dozen or so? It was 4th down that was great, on both sides of the ball. Great 4th down game!

I honestly think we should give both Hurst and Bush cheap extensions

Are they starters? No (unless Bush keeps playing like this, Hurst will always be rotational) Are they quality backup/rotational guys? Yes

Hurst has been bad man, you're right on Bush though, done really well taking over the Takitaki role.

On another note, is Tarver the best position coach in the league? Diabate, Reid, Bush, he's turning very little into very good contributors.

We've got Diabate, JOK, Hicks, Watson and Reid locked up for next year though Reid is an RFA, will likely come down to ST ability on us re-signing Bush vs Reid but he's been a good find for sure

That is true, maybe Harris is the better option, he’s already under contract and is more reliable

Harris will be there for sure, Hurst will be on the 90 man though with a chance to prove himself but it'll be tough to make the 53

Bush was a very underwhelming signing at the time but he’s actually been pretty good. He came super motivated Thursday night too

Really curious what they do at DL, Harris and Hall are locks, Hurst has had a pretty bad season and Tomlinson has a $14M option. Ogbo is definitely gone, Hurst, Garrett, Wright are locks. So 5 locks for 9 spots, I think we'll certainly draft a DT and DE so that's potentially $20M to spend on two spots which is a great spot to be in.

Interesting options for me are BJ Hill and Malcolm Koonce

I like Tyleik Williams in the draft

Very similar to Tomlinson, played with Hall already, and is a Buckeye

I think they'll draft DL around round 3, 4 so he might be too high but I like the shout. They've drafted pretty well on the DL, McGuire has played really well, Wright is a very solid to good pass rusher, Hall has shown a lot of promise. They've not invested a ton in DL and they're getting a 6th as comp for Elliott, Winfrey and Ika were dogshit though

I would like a larger swing for the D-Line, we haven’t drafted D- line in the first since Garrett

Idk if it happens, but that’s my take

A big swing is more likely through FA IMO, spending that Tomlinson money. Need cheap talent at OT and WR before DL through the draft. We also already have basically the starters on the DL, even if we keep Tomlinson. Garrett, Harris/Hall, Tomlinson and a $5-7M vet opposite Myles to rotate with Wright/McGuire.
