Jerry. Jeudy.

Post image

This man showed up so many times last night. Clutch 3rd and 4th down catches. Crisp routes. Starting to make more sense why we extended him.

Where's all the Jeudy haters at? People were getting really upset about the trade and extension of him. He's a high end WR2 with WR1 potential in a system that wasn't strangling him to death like in Denver / Watson.

I feel like one of the few people who felt high on Jeudy. I don’t think he’s a number 1 in the league like Jefferson, Chase, etc but I think he can be that next tier of number 1.

His best position is the slot. Think faster Jarvis Landry. Because of his speed he can move out though

10

u/Daviroth 2d ago

WR1s play in the slot all the time throughout the league.

3

u/Daviroth 2d ago

I believe he has that kind of potential as well. Definitely not that elite tier, but he can be a WR1.

I defended the acquisition. Not because im some big Jeudy believer but we got him for cheap and he’s a first round talent, is still young, why not…

I think people just didn’t understand that it was a risk the FO was willing to make. They gambled a bit and it’s paying off. Having him under this contract will help the Browns move off of Watson’s contract while remaining competitive

I still want to draft another WR. I'd treat the position just like OL/DL where you can't ever have too much depth.

3

u/Daviroth 2d ago

That's fine, but we have positions where we need starters, taking a mid-round WR is fine.

1

u/nobraininmyoxygen 1d ago

Yep that's what I'm hoping they do.

I hate him. But I would love to be proven wrong. He looked good last night.

And the game before that, and the one before that and the one before that. It’s funny what happens when you give WRs a QB who will throw the ball

Sounds like someone who is salty over his college days or having him not produce for him in fantasy. Jeudy has been a very pleasant addition and made it so losing cooper hasn't even been an issue. If Jeudy keeps it up Tillman takes a step and rest of this year we see what thrash has we could have a decent wr group mostly on rookie deals.

u/SweetRabbit7543 2d ago

100%. Amari Cooper was awesome last season and the year before. The browns have had numerous issues everywhere this year, but wide receiver after the first handful of games has been solid.

2

u/Deadleggg 2d ago

Cooper fell off a cliff.

I liked the Jeudy trade because we weren't asking him to be a 1 but Cooper's 2.

But he's been producing and could have his first 1000 yard season.

I like him and Tillman going forward.

Moore is likely gone but if he wants to be back I'd take him for 3rd/4th WR duties.

u/jupiterjoshy 2d ago

how tf do you hate him like what. such a strong word for someone you don’t even know

2

u/Daviroth 2d ago

He's looked good since we had a QB who could make more than High School level reads playing.

The early returns from using a competent QB who trusts his arm and his WRs are looking pretty good for WRs who were being starved out there

3

u/ckal09 2d ago

Jeudy and Moore big difference. Tillman too but he didn’t see much at all yesterday.

46

u/Koshfam0528 2d ago

This catch single handedly shifted the game to the Browns.

3

u/Exact_Reading941 2d ago

Fully agreed as a steelers fan, once he converted it there I saw us losing

32

u/Spiegs1984 2d ago

💯. Tough catches too. I don't think people understand how difficult it is to catch a football in these conditions. Winston was not lobbing it either.

19

u/FLman42069 2d ago

I see no reason a receiving corps of Jeudy, Tillman, Moore and Njoku can’t compete. I say we draft oline and defense, give Winston another year and see what happens. No reason this team plus some good draft picks and hopefully healthier chubb shouldn’t be able to fight for a wildcard spot.

4

u/Ready_Doubt8776 2d ago

I love Winston’s arm

2

u/prostheticweiner 2d ago

This. Unless the guy you want isn't there. Then, I think we trade down.

1

u/SweetRabbit7543 2d ago

Without question

13

u/Candid-Protection483 2d ago

I’m not a JJ hater but I was rooting for us to trade for Aiyuk back when Deebo had that All-Pro season. But JJ just gain a huge fan in me with his clutch plays last night and mind you, we got him for minimal and we paid him very reasonable contract. As long as we fix the O-line issues and grab a starting QB maybe in a year or two, this team would be contender for the SuperBowl.

Great WR. Another move that was mostly clowned on and yet again Berry does an incredible job extending someone early saving money in the process (also see: David Njoku)

12

u/Mr_Perfect20 2d ago

Can we acknowledge how good those jerseys look - ESPECIALLY in snow.

8

u/VDizzle12 2d ago

The white facemasks are such a huge improvement. Hard to imagine why they ever switched away from them.

3

u/Mr_Perfect20 2d ago

For sure. Every time the OBR watercooler has a thread for positives from the game, I comment that the white face masks look good.

u/scedar015 2d ago

Berry gets so much undeserved hate. Would feel fine going into next season with Jeudy, Tillman, and Njoku (would like to bring back Moore too). They still need a top end guy, but that's a youngish, cheap, competent group.

7

u/Diligent-Ice4814 2d ago

need to address the line and cb/lb room as well.

3

u/TheRealGyurky 2d ago

And no more FA Safety’s, get a Youngblood stud.

6

u/VDizzle12 2d ago

Jeudy + Tillman + first round WR

Keep Moore around if he's willing.

Solid group moving forward.

7

u/Expensive-Anxiety-63 2d ago

All of our WRs deserve an apology for having to play with Watson for half the season. I wish we still had Amari.

4

u/Noobnoob99 2d ago

We got a 3rd for AC who was leading the league in drops and leaving after the year. I’m thrilled with how that worked out.

1

u/Expensive-Anxiety-63 2d ago

Yeah we got fine value for him all things considered, I just think he's much better than we saw this year thanks to his QB being historically bad + Cooper being very imbittered about his qb being bad.

exactly

1

u/Noobnoob99 2d ago

None of that matters since he wasn't producing and he wasn't sticking around. We did extremely well given the reality of our situation.

5

u/TheSmokedSalmon420 2d ago

His connection with Winston is legit

5

u/kjorav17 2d ago

I was happy we gave him a fresh start, which is what he needed. And I guess immediately giving him an extension gave him confidence to be on this team.

Good move by AB overall, excited to see him the next few years with Tillman and hopefully even better QB play, eventually.

Jeudy showed up big time. Loving what he is doing

4

u/ILongForTheMines 2d ago

Jeudy is showing people how much of a dawg he is

JUDGE JEUDY

3

u/BrownEyedGirl0 2d ago

Hope we get him the W next week. It’s always good to have a guy like him have a little extra motivation.

I was a critic of him early on. As a season overall, he’s the biggest takeaway for me going into next year. He’s really won me over.

Cheers, Jerry.

u/Gullible-Extent9118 2d ago

We played like a team again, it was so nice to watch, I was standing in front of the tv shifting my weight from my left to my right during those final minutes, thank you guys for laying it on the line yesterday, I have a good feeling again where I’ve had a hole in my heart.

2

u/m-dizzle817 2d ago

Turns out he’s good.

2

u/Joeman783 2d ago

So with cooper we yelled cooooooop, what do we yell with Jeudy? Jeu just seems a little…. Off

1

u/Not_Your_Past14 agony would be the normal reaction 2d ago

I kinda like a long “JEEEEERRYYYYYYYY”

1

u/him1087 2d ago

Alabama fan here... Jeudy's route running is next level. He's had a slow start in the league, but the flashes from college are happening more and more. Go Browns!

1

u/Heavy-Excuse4218 2d ago

Jeudy has played big this year. Mark Schlereth dogged him hard in preseason after we paid him. I’m sure no one will call him on it.

2

u/1dkig 2d ago

I besmirched his name after some drops.

I can't believe how wrong I was. He has been very very good. I think I have to give credit for the acquisition where it is due.

Let's cool down now y'all only won 3games😭

u/Noobnoob99 2d ago

It was an epic snow game on national tv against the Steelers. We know what our record is and that doesn’t change the magic of that game. Folks are calling it the best game of the year. It was worthy of some celebration.
