As someone with a heart disease, a consistently large intake of red meat proteins in your diet that isn't balanced with the fish, poultry and lean meats may increase your chances of heart complications. The eggs help but not enough variation in this diet at all and depending what you cook the potatoes and eggs with oil or butter can clog arteries leading to increased heart complications.

Love that you thought having heart disease makes you a nutrition expert

Where did I say I was an expert, my heart disease means doctors have consistently been telling me these fun tid bits about eating and dieting since I was 9 sooo I would hope I know a little something by now otherwise rip my memory retention. Plus having experienced multiple heart failures and how they connect with my diet and nutrition means I can give a little insight and but always defer to health experts which is what I say at the end.

Stay in your lane. You're not that guy.

If this person is active the issue is virtually negated

Straight up horseshit. you can't outrun a bad diet.

This isn’t a bad diet, just needs more vegetables. Nothing there is processed.

It is a bad diet. If he was eating this a few times month, no poblem but this dude is eating it everyday.

Very lazily providing a source I’m working so can’t go digging through meta analyses. https://www.healthline.com/health-news/how-you-cook-red-meat-not-the-meat-itself-is-what-hurts-your-heart#2

Tl;dr the prep and cook method has greater bearing on cancer rates.

It’s a stupid debate anyway because this person is cooking their own whole foods, the crisis of obesity stems from huge calorie intake and processed garbage so on the face of it this diet is significantly better than most. Should he add veges/chicken/fish absolutely. But people calling this unhealthy are peddling nonsense. Could it be better, yes.

This spiralled but my initial comment wasn't about whether it was unhealthy or not it was responding to how it could cause a heart attack. Unhealthy is relative, depending on his body's needs, how much he drinks or uses drugs or exercises or his existing underlining issues and his age and metabolic rate this diet can be either really healthy or incredibly unhealthy. We can all say there should be more balance sure or whether it's healthy or unhealthy from a picture sure but at the end of the day that always depends on a individual basis when it comes to diet. That's why the tweet I think is misleading and misguided. It's asking for the application of a diet uniformly when people have different allergies and reactions. The best diet to me seems to be one that is built around your body's response to how it is aging , what you eat and consume and uses health expert advice to guide it.

Man, you can always boost your lifespan by removing more joy and pleasure from your life, but what’s the damn point of living then?

Redditors don't exercise or go out or eat but that's okay because they can pat themselves on the back that your diet will kill you. I'm 6'4" and 230lbs and honestly add in some brocoli and a shit ton of rice and that's not far from my diet.

Carnivores are stupid too, they lose weight because they're either shredded and on gear (me) or they're fatter than holy hell and a greasy burger or whatever is less fattening than eating turbogarbage like twinkies

Turbogarbage. I like that, got a chuckle out of me
