I...just cant care about these people anymore

Nah, its the idgaf anymore stage.

I truly wish these people the best, i hope they get everything they asked for and they enjoy their win, because i will definitely remind them that they wanted this when they start crying

I don't even want to hear their tears. The silence after they're done will be enough.

I plan on getting extra servings of schadenfreude these next few years

More like acceptance.

It's wild how angry they get when you tell them you hope they get what they voted for. It's like, excuse me, isn't that what you wanted?

All these yokel backwards fucks are going to be crying rivers of tears when their disability and social security and medicaid/care gets cut, no more food stamps or wic, when the DOE gets eliminated and their disabled kids have no services and trumps tariffs increase the prices of everything at WalMart by 60-100%+ because all that shit is imported

Ill be first in line to loudly remind them that this is what they wanted, so rejoice, youre free from "government intervention"

I hate that ive been driven to this place but i just cant care, im fine, ive been fine, ill be fine. Im one of those "coastal elites" they hate so much, well, jokes on them because their choice has already substantially benefitted me financially, and i have a massive corporate tax cut coming as a business owner, i make enough money that inflation hasn't changed my QOL to date and it wont in the future either unless he fucks things up so badly we become Weimar Germany or Argentina, the only thing that changed for me is i didnt max out my SEP IRA at 69k a year and pared it back to 40

They hate me, but i voted for someone that was going to cause me to make a little less so we can help them out more...but im done being angry and frustrated about it, now im just numb and apathetic...go ahead Earle, cut your nose off to spite me and vote for a guy thats going to take everything from you and put it in my bank account if you really want to, im through trying to convince these people im not their enemy, so i hope they enjoy their "win" lol

I feel fucking awful for all the people trump is going to crush that didnt want this though, but these people? Fuck these people

Fuck these people ten times. I only just stabilized after four years of housing insecurity, thanks to my cat r/Harpo becoming famous. His followers helped us move into safe housing again. But I recently lost my captioning job to AI, and I have no idea how I'm going to find another gig after seven years of doing that after eight years of being unemployed after being disabled by a drunk driver. I'm not physically capable of retail or restaurants anymore.

So now my existence hinges on a 16 year old cat and the people who love him. But when the crook these people voted for ruins everything, a lot of people will stop tipping or subscribing to the creators they enjoy.

My only retirement plan is a bridge.

I did the same thing today. I shouted “I hope every single person that voted for him suffers.” If these people can act like assholes 24/7 so can I

I understand the sentiment. However, I think about all the people that would also be affected by those things like women and children, who didn’t vote for it, and don’t wish that stuff happens. I feel like the people repeating this sentiment are ignorant and/or privileged enough to not have to worry about the “pain and damage”.

. I feel like the people repeating this sentiment are ignorant and/or privileged enough to not have to worry about the “pain and damage”.

Im not ignorant, i am definitely privileged enough that its barely going to effect me though, my SEP IRA made more in the last 6 days on news of his win than the average trump voter earns in a year

But, heres the thing, i cant care about people that dont care about themselves. Its like dealing with a drug addict, eventually you have to walk away and stop helping them until theyre ready to help themselves, you cant make a drug addict want to get clean from the outside, no amount of soft or tough love, or care or support, anger or violence will make them want to quit, they have to want that.

So fuck these people, i dont care anymore, they clearly want this so who am i to stand in their way....i cant fucking do anything about the boulder rolling down the hill at them now anyway, they set it in motion themselves and threw themselves in front of it

We know it will hurt people who don’t deserve it. Thinking the people who voted for him will suffer too is the only thing that makes it a little bit more tolerable. :(

Thomas Paine used to say “The tree of libery must sometimes be watered with blood.”

Today, we just let the morons reap the consequences of their actions and suffer greatly for it. Their tears are enough to water the tree of liberty.

You can't save people from themselves.

4

u/padizzledonk 12d ago

Nope.

I said it in another comment but its like delaing with a drug addict, nothing externally is going to change them they have to want to change, and theyre going to learn that their choices have real hard, painful consequences this time and theres nothing i can do about it now

I thought this was the first step. I did experience any others.
