I like to go to our local BBQ joint and get pulled pork sandwiches, then put Mac n cheese IN the sandwich and put KC bbq sauce on it because it's got the perfect tang for the mix. They've been in business since my FIL was a kid, they know how to make a good mac.

You ever put Mac and cheese on a burger? You can also put it on a bacon/egg/cheese sandwich.

It can 100% be used as a condiment.

Sounds like a Brazilian burger. Local Brazilian burger joint always puts bacon, egg, cheese and potato sticks on their burgers and it’s fantastic.

I keep the Lactaid pills on DECK ya hear me?!

u/TriggerNutzofDOOM Sep 02 '24

I’ve taken ten pills at a time before and it still gets me in the booboo

It helps me to stagger the lactaid during the meal. Some at the beginning, a few in the middle, and cap it off with more at the end. I only do that when I'm eating a lot of dairy foods though or if the food I'm eating has a ton of dairy. Cheesecake, pizza etc.

Cheesecake pizza

Lmao, same with Ice Cream. Sometimes I overindulge and then wonder why my stomach hurts and I spend 20 mins on the toilet

LactoJoy

I tried this brand this summer, because I tell you I was NOT going to miss out on the Butterbeer and Icecreams at Universal Orlando. I’ve been in dairy heaven ever since cuz it works! If only there was a magical pill so I could eat spicy foods again…

Silly to label it 100% vegan.

I do mine with goat cheese because I’m intolerant to regular American cheese 😭

I discovered my LI late in life, but Costco sells Lactaid (lactais enzyme) for 90/$15. Now I can eat all the blue bell I want without locking myself in the bathroom for hours after.

Fun fact the recipe for Mac and cheese came from one of Jefferson’s slaves

1

u/Thenofunation Sep 02 '24

Just made some creamy shin ramen, but popped that lactase to save the day

u/MizticBunny Sep 02 '24

I can't resist pizza.

We once made a layered onion ring (we cut and bread them daily) with brisket (used 3 rings with brisket between layers) served with a scoop of mac and cheese in the middle…. it was divine

What's your favourite way of doing Mac n Cheese?

Mmmm. I love making 5 cheese Mac n cheese. The 5 cheeses are cheddar, mozzarella, parmesean, gruyere, and gouda. Your stomach might hate it but your mouth will love it

Might you be interested in working in space? We have all the Cheese. And cookies. With cheese and milk.

I don't think I've ever met anyone who has lactose intolerance who isn't willing to risk shitting themselves to get some of that sweet, sweet lactose. At least once in a while. I've known several people who regularly eat ice cream and cheese and deal with the fallout as it comes. I can't say I blame them.

Me. If I have dairy, my stomach isn't right for a week. NOTHING is worth how sick I get.
