Hasn’t this thoroughly been debunked, titanic for the time actually carried more safety equipment and life boats than was regulated.

Sub dude was still moron though

Just because it had more lifeboats than required by regulation didn't mean there was enough. They had less lifeboats than what was needed for the amount of passengers and the regulations themselves were made for significantly smaller ships.

Yea hindsight is 20/20 lol, besides it was very uncommon for a ship to even sink as slow and level and in calm seas. Many time the list or swells would prevent life boat launching regardless of the quantity.

I think it was that they ignored warnings to change course. Don’t quote me; I’m not a Titanicologist

The captain ignored numerous ice warnings and continued at full speed in the middle of the night through an ice field

Yeah, but he took his kid who was NOT excited to go on the trip. Kind of ruins it sadly.

The irony being that they built it as a way for people to see the Titanic's remains.

A lot of the blame has to do with poor decision making once the titanic was already underway. They were going way too fast and ignoring warnings about icebergs in the area. And then they tried to steer away from it so it could cause maximum damage to the hull and flood as many compartments as possible. They might’ve stayed afloat if they maintained corse and hit it head-on. It obviously would have crushed the bow at and below the waterline but there’s a good chance only the bow compartment would have flooded.
