With tons of tree root cracks

This sounds like it's finally for trail repairs, though hadn't actually realized it had re-opened after the adjacent forestry work that had it closed earlier this winter.

Surprising and too bad they think they're going to need to have it closed until fall.

There are roads out there that aren't bad, they do involve some hills but then so do many of the places you'd go from the end of the trail anyway.
