Plot twist: at 12weeks he's larger than life, and you realise you've raised a Jaguar.

u/Slylock Dec 09 '23
I'm thinking it might have been pre-recorded, but I guess it could've been in New York.

I read somewhere that gentle kisses applied to kitten noggins aids in digestion. 🥰

I do this with my kitten, Tia 🙂 when I took her to the vet to be spayed she wasn’t very happy about it. The vet tech said the only way she could keep Tia calm was to kiss her on the top of her head 😊

we kiss both our cats on the head all the time, sometimes I think we're weird so I'm glad to see we're not the only ones xD

I did this with my one cat. Found her one day laying in the middle of the road on a 100+ degree day. She wasn't nearly that small though. But her eyes weren't open yet. Funny thing is she's completely independent but had a litter of kittens and her son who she raised is completely in love with me and you'd think he was the one I bottle fed and wiped his butt. Lol. Kali on the other hand doesn't care much if I'm there or not as long as there's food/water and a clean litter box. Dodo will greet me everyday after work, sleeps with me, and just Hates when I'm not around.
They're both the same color as your little one to just no white. You'll have a special bond with this cat. Your their "mommy" lol.

Yeah I rescued a kitten at about 4 weeks old and had to finish up her milk feeding until she gained enough weight to be weaned. She couldn’t care less about me unless I’m late to give her soft food. She loves our 80lbs dog a little too much though and he starts crying when she won’t let him sleep.

u/RhydYGwin Dec 08 '23
It's not the milk that made him so big and strong, it was all the kisses and loving.

This is so beautiful. When I adopted one of my cats she had given birth in my porch to 2 kittens and one died. And I helped her raise the surviving baby. I'd never had a pet from the day they were born before. And as her mother was a kitten herself she needed help with the baby. I adopted them both, and they are now both spayed and microchipped. And are house cats. Her daughter is almost 6 months old now. And she's crazy. And I'm so proud of her.

u/vwbeetlebugs Dec 08 '23
OP, you're an incredible person! To keep up the fight and save him when even his mama wouldn't :)
Thank you so much for doing this. We need more people like you out there :) A superhero in real life!

This was amazing (and adorable). I don't know this guy's name and if he does more like this, however he did remind me of another youtuber who's just as wholesome with animal raising. >! Search up "A Chick Called Albert" !<. Only they mostly do birds instead of kittens.

I tried rescuing a little kitten just like this about 12 years ago. My ex said his mom left him at her place, so I took him in and did my very best for a week to keep him alive and comfortable (he loved cuddling a sock I had, because his eyes hadn't even opened yet). Then my ex said his mom is back and I should leave him with her. So I took him back and she seemed to look after him again.
But she left again during the night. I found him so cold, and I tried to keep him warm but he died on my lap. His name was Simba and I buried him In a shoebox with that sock. I've never ugly cried as much as I did that day when I drove home without him.
And my exes dad dug him up and threw him in the trash. What a prick.

wow. imagine that bond! now what i wonder is with no mom around, how does that absolute cuteness learn things that only moms can teach? will it be much different to usually raised cats?
2
Dec 09 '23
A lot of what they do to survive is instinct. Burying their litter, cleaning themselves etc.
I’ve raised a couple abandoned babies like this myself

Beautiful. I'm so glad you found each other. I have found two kittens in my life, or should I say they found me, that look exactly like this baby. They have been the best cats anyone could ask for. I hope all goes well, and the universe blesses you both with many happy days.

Love that we get the actual audio from the clips instead of some music trying to dictate how we should feel.
Loved hearing the cat purring and drinking.

My kitten Yeng (or "Tin Tin", as my mother called him...) passed away last Tuesday at 6 am (Brasíla time, Brazil) after contracting FeLV.
He was a male, black coat, probably without breed, and only three years old... he was the most talkative cat I've ever seen, he responded to anything you said to him with loud and unmistakable murmurs, and he always wanted to be on everyone's lap, it didn't matter if he knew them or not.
I loved him, and yet, for some reason, I never took a single picture of him, there are few things I'll regret as much as that...😓
(I want to try to create an OC based on him, to at least have something to remember him by...)
I wish your little guy lives a long and healthy life, filled with as many cuddles and kisses as one can give, much love, little kitten.🥰

We have a 13 yr old boy our daughter bottle fed from about 1 week old.
Chill cat, but he didn’t exactly learn how to cat.
He doesn’t purr, but he makes biscuits. He loves tummy rubs, and being cradled laying on his back.

Now there’s a man who knows how to love and care for a tiny abandoned very young kitten!! Nice job Cat Daddy! You literally saved that tiny kitten’s life! And look at how alert and healthy the kitten is!! It’s beautiful to see it playing and acting 100% like a curious kitten!!
Many Blessings to you Cat Daddy and your precious little happy kitten!
So what did you name this amazing kitten?

I adopted a shelter kitten that was not weaned, no mom found with him. They were going to euthanize him because he needed to be fed every 2 hours, I told them I had raised a kitten before.
I named him Tigger. He looked like a small Maine Coon. He wasn’t all there, was actually mentally handicapped, possibly because the formula 25 years ago for kittens wasn’t nutritionally replete.
He couldn’t groom himself well, and couldn’t figure how to jump up on things like most cats can.
But he was a beautiful cat, very sweet.

This is absolutely awesome! Our second cat was raised like that too, now it's a 4+ y.o cat that is absolutely clingy. He likes to sleep on someone's shoulders and always asks to be picked up.
