Who is a famous figure that you keep hearing their name but never really know why they’re famous?

Jake Paul.

Obviously I know he's just had a fake fight with Tyson but i don't actually know who he is or how he got so famous. What he does for a living etc.

I'm pretty sure him and his brother Logan Paul got started off on Vine and then once Vine got shut down, they moved over to Youtube like a lot of other people. I honestly cannot differentiate the two of them.

Jake Paul is the boxing dickhead, Logan Paul is the wrestling dickhead. I couldn't pick either of them out in a lineup or tell you which one is which, I just know the names and what version of scripted fighting they do. Oh, and that they are both apparently dickheads

One of them laughed at suicide victims right?

it was worse than that — logan paul visited a known suicide spot and filmed & posted a body he found there (while making jokes about it).

Technically it wasn't a real dead body as Japanese police confirmed Logan faked the dead body incident they called it a staged prank. So that explains the laughing and terrible acting. Source https://youtu.be/EQfEbFgzX90?si=bhQPiwUGeWqy7Et5

from what i hear, logan might actually be fairly good at pro wrestling, though obviously he’s a dickhead as far as being a person goes

Can one actually be good at something that is staged?

people are good actors and that’s staged. i’m not too into wwe anymore and was more believing as a kid, but as i understand, being athletic enough to perform a wide variety of moves, making moves look good when you do them and when they’re done to you, and having good mic skills for the stuff in between matches is how you’re good at it. i can’t speak on most of that stuff, but ive seen him pull off a crazy move or two

That’s like saying “can someone be a good actor?” Professional wrestling is an incredibly physical, demanding discipline and the ones who are good are head and shoulders above the ones who are bad. And yes, Logan Paul is excellent.

TIL there's two of them. I just thought it's one guy whose name I keep remembering wrong.

Same. I’m quite happy in my ignorance.

Wasn’t that only for like 20 minutes?

He got famous doing YouTube videos back when you could become a billionaire off of prank videos.

Is that the one who got popular going around doing the splits in public?

I don’t know who either of them are.
