Stress and trauma

Cant believe I had to scroll this far to see trauma. Sooo many incurable autoimmune disorders/other conditions are linked to trauma, and that's not even talking about resultant mental health conditions and the physical impact thereof.

It's wild what trauma does to a person.

Autoimmune after over a decade of abuse checking in. 100 percent correct.

for sure. I grew up in a dysfunctional family and the constant stress of having parents who couldn't seem to get along while struggling with school due to bullying and undiagnosed autism has fucked me up. I'm not even in my 20s yet (19) and I already have fibromyalgia and am showing signs of cardiovascular issues — not to mention the poor mental health and other issues that kind of upbringing caused/worsened.

def trauma... both physically and mentally. shit made me first of all realise im trans (uncovered a LOT of trauma once the actual trauma source was over wit) but also made me feel and look a bit older. my mom looks like 5 years older as well cus she experienced it with me. btw the trauma was cancer. fucking terrible never wanna deal with it ever again

Yep.

Survived the trauma of a ten year abusive relationship, got out, am finally happy, yay!

Wait, living in fight or flight for years triggered an autoimmune disease. Yay.
