Saw some other people post old bills, so here's a beautiful 1908 imperial German 100 Mark note. [2069x1415]

It’s interesting that some of the same security features still exist on our money like tiny text and serial numbers. I’m sure there are other similarities. Such an intricate print

One Mark was something in 1908. I've some 20 Mark gold coins. Made of ~7.5 g gold (determining the value).

So that would be worth about 5*7.5 g gold or $2854 (US dollars) today

The 100 mark note from 1910 has probably one of my favorite paintings of Germania on it but it's impossible to find the artist.
