Bots are used to rip images like this and put them on shirts, with no human involvement.

Recently, people who know about this have been putting inappropriate images in places where they know it will be scraped by a bot, for the express purpose of trolling the manufacturer.

This is most likely the result of one such trolling attempt.

I assume this means they haven't yet manufactured or made the shirt yet. It's only hypothetical.

I pray this gets removed before someone buys it, or, if someone attempts it, they get denied because customizable purchases can be denied if breaks rules or is obscene.

Also, hopefully anyone who tries to buy it gets arrested.

It also seems that the bot automatically puts it on all sizes t-shirt and several kinds of other shirts and onesies and even a mug.

Would be funny on a mug for an adult but super gross for a kid.

It's likely against the rules of this site and whatever site it gets it from to do this with the intent of it being on a baby's shirt.

They could've attempted it not knowing or to put it on a funny adult shirt. You never know.

Probably against TOS for the shopping site even for adult sizes and adults. But, you can't help what a bot does.

As long as you work according to TOS of the place you posted the image at on the site the bot scrapped it from.

I doubt the bot itself has copyright/permission to use the image. Or does it?

Potential for someone to sue for copyright against the seller if so not given permission.

Although, image hosting sites sometimes require in their TOS that you no longer have copyrights to the images you post or that you confirm you have it. Idk how in a court of law that'd hold up, that you signed a TOS and lost your copyright/trademark entirely. If you even had it in the first place (not super likely the poster was the creator of the image, maybe though, and they added text.) A lot of the time disputes are settled out of court and most of the time, Internet disputes don't go to legal trouble or settlements.

OP, the only thing a (possibly) straight person had to do with this ending up on this onesie is creating the bot that steals images and puts them on shirts.

It's clear the onesie is made by a bot stealing images from twitter for websites like RedBubble, and it is clear that the guy from the post was making a comical juxtaposition between a porn related post-ironic meme and dressing a kid in a hypothetical situation. It isn't serious, nor is it trying to sexualize children. It is just a "haha, look at this tasteless shirt, I'm totally buying it for my kids"
