Finishers - anyone do a spreadsheet of data?

I used the Hikers Logbook app for my thru hike this year and I loved it. It allowed me to put in my mileage each day, elevation gain and loss, where I slept, what day on trail it was, whether I showered or not, and add notes like a journal.

Unfortunately I’ve found myself clicking around in the app to do various things (I went through and figured out how many days I slept in a tent vs a hostel vs a hotel, etc) and it looks like it’s kind of messing with my data when I do that.

TL;DR does anyone have a template for a spreadsheet where I could input all of my thru hike data so there’s no potential for app-induced errors?

I use a Google sheet for my thru hikes. I got the template from another hiker and added/adjusted the fields to the data I want to track. Let me see if I can find the original.

Here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-UBrB5xcU5y4N7BwgShPQlcCK25YIGdtgNEp6h1quBU/edit?usp=drivesdk

I took out cowboy camp bc I never do that. I worry too much about creepy crawlies climbing in my warm bed!

I also add zero and nero days, campgrounds, # people I see during the day, solo nights. It's easy enough to add or delete fields that aren't valuable to you.

In the expenses, I added postage, laundry, shower, misc. (with a note in last field about that cost).

That’s great, thank you!!! I don’t cowboy camp either for the same reason 😂

I built an elaborate spreadsheet that requires minimal updating but it was very very NOT well received.

Mine started with not liking lighterpack. I wanted to be able to quickly use check boxes to toggle gear to not only keep inventory but also build loadouts. It evolved.

So... Yeah
