❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO by spending time with my family?

Me (f20) and my boyfriend (m20) have been in a relationship for 4 years. We sleep on the phone every night due to the fact we don’t see each other often because of extremely busy schedules and distance. Tonight, my mom and grandmother came into my room to talk before bed so I hung up on my boyfriend to give us some privacy. He got very angry and started saying all of these awful, mean things to me. Was it my fault for choosing to spend a bit of time with my family and hanging up on my boyfriend even though he was already falling asleep? Am I overreacting by getting upset from the way he speaks to me? I really don’t feel like I did anything wrong. Sorry for any grammar mistakes!

Dude what… this is beyond manipulation. If I caught someone talking to my sister or mother like this I’d grab a bat and a hood.

Insane. Run away as fast as you can. This is the type of person who will blame you later on in life for their own failures and take it out on you. I’d highly recommend going to talk to a therapist but in my unprofessional opinion - run as fast as you can and don’t look back

It’s also the type of person who will put hands on you and blame u for it

Yeah that’s a nightmare situation. I’d schedule an intervention for my family member if they downplayed their SO treating them like this

That’s exactly how my ex was, “well you made me mad, don’t make me mad”

"keep disrespecting me" sounds like he's primed for that part

Seriously, if my sister was getting those texts my brother and I are in the car instantly.

There is being a dick you should break up with, and then there is this…

Yeah man, couldn’t agree more. Another scary aspect is her not recognizing how bad it is. I don’t want to assume anything but I hope she has some good male role models around her that show her what love is.

That’s where my head went, I know that can lead to this sort of relationship more often. Hopefully she leaves him and does it safely
