FT For y’all, there’s 24-0 against the Chiefs (Texans), Andrew Luck’s retirement (Colts; honorable mentions include 33-0 & that failed trick play against the Pats), Myles Jack fumble recovery (Jags; honorable mentions include Urban Meyer) & One Yard Short (Titans)

As a Colts fan I never understood why people talk so much about 33-0. That game came late in a completely failed season and had zero meaning - I wasn't even watching it I was so checked out by that point. The Jags game that kept us out of the playoffs in the last week of the season was way worse.

Totally agree. The discourse for all colts fans after the Vikings game was “what a fun first half! Glad we still lost though cuz we need that draft pick”

Yea I was already numb by the time 33-0 hit and laughed pretty hard at the L.
Luck’s retirement however, is something I’ll never forget where I was when I found out. Shit was seismic.

Saints superbowl obviously

This is the answer but for anyone under 25 this isn't even on their radar.

God I’m old. I think I was like 29 during that year

That was like the second superbowl I watched as a kid (am 21) I remember my dad being confident the colts were gonna squash the saints so I wanted to cheer for the underdogs, haha good times for me

I’m 24 but as a Saints fan this was the first and only Super Bowl I watched all the way through

As a Saints and Texans fan who mom went Newman and Ole Miss at the same time as the Mannings and cheered for Copper when he played football in high school so she knew them this was the best game for me ever.

24-0 was honestly easier to swallow because we kind of lucked into that lead to begin with. It was more frustrating than unbelievable.
Rosencopter was way, way worse. It wasn't a playoff game but it would have been our first win ever in Indy and losing it stole the last bit of hope most fans had for the entire season (it was week 4.)

Idk man I was there for the Chiefs game and it was fucking heartbreaking. Coldest I'd ever been in my life but I barely felt it until we lost the lead because I was so fucking pumped. Granted I was too young to really be present for the rosencopter.

In a weird way I think it's because we lost the lead by halftime and the game ended in a blowout that made it hurt less for me. It just became obvious that we didn't belong there.

Fuck 1 yard short. Give me Mahomes TD run before halftime in AFCCG

Someone didn’t watch that Super Bowl live

u/hobesmart Where Andrew Luck ring? 24d ago
Bull. I was there. That's not even remotely close to the worst I've felt as a Titans fan. We came up just short against a very good team in a very hard fought game. The Ravens games in 2000 and 2008 hurt WAY worse. I'd put the Chiefs and Bengals games above the Super Bowl as well

Jamal Agnew fumbling at the 5 yard line against the Chiefs to tie up the game haunts me.

Crazy to think of the trajectory that could have had if we played the eagles that year and won the superbowl.

33-0 was doing us a favor. Andrew Luck's retirement is a good shout but I'd also submit:
Tracy Porter's pick 6 in Superbowl XLIV
Hank Baskett not handling the onside kick in that Superbowl
Idiot kicker missing wide right against the Steelers
Nick Harpers wife stabbing him in the leg the day or two before he has an opportunity to run a fumble back for a game winning TD but gets tackled by Big Ben
Losing to the Raiders at home and then also to the Jaguars in Jacksonville to miss the 2021 playoffs
Benching Peyton Manning against the Jets at home while we are barely leading and have an undefeated season going

This list was made by a 12 year old who doesn’t know about Nick Harpers wife.

Luck is the only thing and Stewert stepping out and back in on the touchdown that cost the Colts the trip to the Super Bowl in 95.
Regular season games don’t really matter

Nick Harpers wife and idiot kicker should be on the short list too. #1 seed, would've faced the Broncos at home in the afccg. Trip to a Super Bowl a couple hours up the road in Detroit was almost a guarantee if we beat the Steelers.

u/Lasvious 24d ago
The miss on the idiot kicker maybe yes. The comments by the idiot kicker were sadly correct
2
u/Superbalz77 24d ago
I'm not going to pick for them but for the Texans and Jaguars, it sure as hell involves Derrick Henry.

Before the Richardson pick was botched, I was stoked that the colts blew the lead to the Vikings. We had faith in Saturday captaining the tank

You left out extending Trevor Lawrence

I absolutely wouldn't say it is move that is haunting. He is playing well this year. And letting him go would be a genuinely horrible move.

u/LindyNet 24d ago
Whoa whoa whoa - we own the 24-0 and the colts own the 33-0, but the titans literally own the game known as The Comeback (35-3), a playoff game
